"Go Ask Alice...

Mon Sep 21, 2009, 5:34 PM
...I think she'll know."

10 points if you know what song that line is from.
I feel like I'm running a rat race I'm so busy.
I have no time.
I have no good pictures, because I haven't developed my film from the summer yet, I haven't had time to purchase an adequate SLR yet, I have zero time to draw, and if I write it's a couple sentences at a time.
Huzzah.

Something may or may not come in the next few months.
I'm not dead just...incapacitated.

Holla back Film!

I get to play with a film camera ALL summer. My dad is letting me borrow is old FTb Canon. SO excited :D
Then I'm hoping to purchase an SLR by the end of August so I can start using it during the fall color changes and bird migrations.
Here's for crossing the fingers.

Re: Story

Okay, so Adela's parents? The Faeries are supposed to be about two feet shorter than the elves, or something like that the details are a little fuzzy. Adela's father is a faerie, her mother is an elf. See the problem? No?
Neither did I (for the past three years) till now :stupid:: it doesn't make sense in a world where aesthetic appearance and social status are major attracting forces. I.e., why would a six foot tall elf female be attracted to a four-ish foot tall faerie male? Anyone out there willing able to help me figure this out?

Adela

I just had the most brilliant idea.
The Background:
The last seven years I've been going about Adela the wrong way. I've been trying to tell her story from her point of view.
What a *stupid* way to go about it. :shakefist:
Admittedly, some parts went very well, and at some point the story will have to (I think) go to her point of view. But while she's still at Cadhadran?
Huzzah, the answer came to me today!
I started talking out loud and the words were flowing and I was like, "this is strange, but okay, I can work with it," but when I realized Adela was being spoken about in third person, I also realized something else:
Let Neven and the Faerie Queen (who has yet to be named, btw. Suggestions are welcomed, though not guaranteed to be used) tell the story of Adela's youth! Which is basically the whole point up to the climax anyway.:mwahaha:
Ahem. The point is, now I have something to work with that doesn't feel stunted. Knowing too much when she shouldn't, because even Adela isn't omniscient. Close, but not quite.

Long Long Journey

Yo. So, apparently four months have gone by with little notice, except for the crash of work and chaos that could be heard fairly resounding throughout the universe. Or maybe that was just me...
A new photo has been uploaded to my gallery: [link] but I admit to it being more lighthearted than my work-logged person.
It always comes in cycles. It's just that the break between the cycles never seems to be enough!
